Bon Jovi

“Woahhhhh, we’re halfway there… WHOA-OH! LIVING ON A PRAYER!”

Guess why Bon Jovi? I’m already halfway done with student teaching!!!!
Which means the best is yet to come… I will have the whole (entire) (ALL OF IT) class starting MONDAY! Every student. Every subject. The whole time. Cripes! Let’s do this!!!

…Don’t worry; I will keep you posted on how it goes. ;) It may very well be madness.

Today’s (FRIDAY!) journal prompt: If you could make a new room in your house, what would it be like?

“I would have a T.V. And my bed would be a tramplen. My picshrs would be spanjbob. I would have a pool. I would have frij.” <- This kid is quiet, but shows more and more personality every time he writes. He is quirky, and I love it.

“If I had a new room I would want a tv. And a bunk bed. And all of the kirby plushies.” <- I’m surprised by the word choice. Plushies (makes me wanna giggle.)

“If I could have a new room it would have a tv and a cawch in my room and a hotub. I would have a beckbed. I would have cande.” <- This boy has a sweet tooth for sure. He’s not the best writer, but I love when he tells me things like this. So sweet. (like his sweet tooth :))

“If I could make a new room in my house it would be a trampaling room. Because I like to jump sometimes I go to my nebrs and they let me jump on theres. And I do flips and me and my brother play egg and we play mummy and we play tag with are eyes close.” <- This student is so entertaining. He’s the one who wrote about bigfoot and about throwing up if he had to walk backwards. I love how he rants when he gets into what he is writing. He’s a quiet boy, so it’s fun to get into his head.

Overall, TVs, pools, hot tubs, and couches were the most popular things that my stsudents would put in their rooms. One even chose a “butten that could teren the foor into an ice scating rake and a roller scating one.” So creative and adorable.

Sorry this post is so late! Oops. I had things to do ;) Until next week…
Peace, love, and 80s throwbacks,
Jayna
